Origins 
The Terrier of American Staffordshire, Pit Bull Terrier, or Yankee Terrier, Bull descends of the Staffordshire English Terrier that in turn is the result of the mating among an Old English Bulldog and an English Terrier. This strong dog arrived in U.S in 1870, where it was used, like in Great Britain, to fight against other dogs, in moats. It was recognized by the Society Canine American as Terrier of Staffordshire in 1935, the name was revised in 1972 becoming Terrier of American Staffordshire. For then the sport of fights of dogs had disappeared toward time, and it has been developed to be a company animal. The Society Canine American allowed, during a time that the Terrier of American Staffordshire and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was exhibited together and even that they crossed. Nevertheless, the American Staffordshire was raised to be bigger and heavier than its English relative and at the moment it is quite different. The ears in their enormous head can intersect. He/she needs a lot of exercise and a regular toilet. difficult to train, the female is lightly more governable. Strong and without fear, the Terrier of American Swffordstire rewards a firm hand and a loyalty without fail.
