Origins 
There are few doubts that the Italian Harrier (or Piccolo Italian Levriero) he/she is a descendant of the Greyhound, but it doesn't seem to have any registration of when and how their size was reduced. The Greyhound is one of the oldest races in the world, represented in the paintings of the tombs of the Egyptian Pharaohs, and there are also drawings of smaller copies that go back at the Egyptian and Roman times. The Society of the Italian Greyhound has existed in Great Britain from 1900. At the end of the second world war, fresh blood coming from U.S was introduced and of the continent, and now there are numerous excellent copies in the rings of Europe, U.S and Canada. 
Character and cares 
It is a delicious and affectionate company animal, easy to train, rarely silent the hair and he/she doesn't smell. Recently it was very used in publicity like the dog of ideal company, a statement that caused a considerable concern among the breeders who feared that there were copies that fell in undesirable hands. This concern is justified because this delicate dog is very sensitive. It feels the cold, it can be hurt by hard words and their paws break up with easiness. He/she enjoys with a good quantity of exercise, but a hot coat should be put when it is cold. It is easy to clean, he/she is rubbed with a silk handkerchief so that it shines him the mantel.
